John 3:17

It's kind of like this verse is for the nonbelievers to know....

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.



and then this one right after it is for those who already believe to remember...

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. -John 3:17
